Mrs. Leoncia Antigua Esmas 80th Birthday Celebration

Friends and family gather to give a toast to Leoncia Antigua vda. de Esmas on her 80th birthday last Sep. 16 at the community center in Yorba Linda. A lot of cheer from fellow Cebuanos, especially from folks from her hometown, Borbon, Cebu. The celebration was proudly orchestrated by her brood of 7 children with their spouses namely Danette & Jun Ergina, Geyo & Birdie Esmas, Frank Esmas, Christ'l & Rene Mendoza, Bobby Esmas, Nino Esmas, and Gigi Manliguez-- the grandchildren-- Nikki & Kevin Ergina, Francis & Shannon Esmas, Samy & Francesca Mendoza, Andrew & Anika Manliguez. There was a show of talents, from dancing to the to the tune of Mambo #5, a friend playing the keyboard, kids singing, gentlemen cooing a charade of songs, and a grandson on the violin. It was an event to remember. When the birthday cake came, family and friends gathered around her with a chorus that lasted for a long while, continually toasting a grand dame from Borbon, Cebu.
